Build Our Community Together

The first strategic initiative of Carolina Next is “Build Our Community Together.”

The objectives of this initiative are:

1. Together create conditions on campus that enable each other to thrive and feel like we all belong.

2. Enhance the educational benefits of diversity and inclusion through effective retention, recruitment and enrollment.

3. Prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion in teaching, research and service as well as in hiring, evaluation and promotion.

Numerous forums were held with faculty, staff and students in late 2019 to determine what the priorities of this initiative should be. Following are some facts and figures that results from those insightful sessions:
