Programs & Awards

UNC-Chapel Hill is proud of the accomplishments of its students, faculty and staff. We are especially honored that many of these achievements occur as a result of our dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion across Carolina’s campus.

The Diversity Awards exemplify our recognition of inclusion ambassadors, acknowledging those who have made an extraordinary impact on Carolina and its surrounding communities.

We also hold special recognition and remembrance events during the MLK Week of Celebration each January. For three consecutive days, we recognize members of the Carolina community who have honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s bridge-building legacy. Our MLK Community/University banquet, MLK Day of Service 5K run, and MLK keynote lecture provide an opportunity for open dialogue, learning and inspiration.
