Please check this page for updated announcements.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>University-based Student Opportunities<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>NC COVID-19 Student Response Corps<\/strong>\u00a0is a collaborative effort to match students with local governments and nonprofit organizations in need of additional capacity. Opportunities for high-impact work span across the state and may help communities and organizations respond to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There is now a publicly available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/sites.google.com\/view\/ncstudentcorps\/access-the-database__;!!HYmSToo!J4l583RxWbKhSWlnCRnbLNuAnLuCc5NxcFu5NZFSLNNWZJqvSQXQYHAYfCuRUz80w07-GqE$\">list of unfilled opportunities<\/a>, which\u00a0updates automatically when opportunities are added\/filled<\/strong>.\u00a0Students should contact internship hosts directly to apply.<\/p>\n<p>This effort has already placed approximately 90 interns in positions across the state, and many additional organizations have requested an intern. Some of the opportunities are paid and some are remote. Participants will gain research skills by investigating topics like air quality, climate change, vaping and water pollution.
